Forward emails to Shmor

The address

Forward emails to in@emails.useshmor.com. Shmor recognises you by the address you forward from: your Shmor sign-in email, or another address you have confirmed. The Email card on the Channels page shows the address with a Copy address button.

Add another address

1. On the Channels page, under Add another address you own, enter the address and click Add address.
2. Open the email "Confirm your address for Shmor" in that inbox. The link works once, for 24 hours.
3. While signed in to Shmor, press Confirm this address.

You can add up to 5 addresses. Each address can belong to only one Shmor account. Send the link again is available after a minute; Remove stops Shmor reading mail from that address.

What Shmor reads

The text and signature, a useful subject line, and up to 5 attachments of up to 10 MB each: photos and screenshots (JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF), one audio file and .vcf contact cards. PDFs are not read yet.

Replies

Shmor replies in the same thread with what it saved and any questions. Answer by replying to that email; only your new text is read. Reply "help" or "pending" on its own for help or a list of contacts that still need something.

If an email is not answered

• It came from an address Shmor does not know. Mail from other addresses is ignored without a reply. Add and confirm the address.
• Your mailbox failed the DMARC check. The shared address needs a DMARC pass. Shmor emails your account address about it, at most once a day. Forward to your private address on the Channels page instead.
• It was sent automatically. Bounces, automatic replies and mail sent by forwarding rules are dropped. Forward by hand.
• Too many emails. Each address can send up to 30 emails an hour and 200 a day.

Your private address

The Channels page also shows a private address unique to you. It does not need a DMARC pass. If it is ever shared by mistake, click Make a new private address; the old one stops working at once.
